t. I'd been at my girlfriend's parents in Hampshire all weekend so monday 4pm I finally hit the seafront! I saw people jumping off the groyne and walked straight onto it. As I got there these two were climbing onto the edge. It was a straight pull of the camera out of the bag, everything was already on auto. I zoomed the lens out to it's maximum 28mm and put the camera to my eye as I walked up behind them - they jumped and I got one shot off as they did. I followed the scene up the following summer, but not long after the jumping from the groynes was clamped down on heavily. Rightly so as it's very dangerous. But the gangs that used to hang out here and also jump off the pier opposite were an entertainment all on their own. Used in the 2002 calendar
