n pub where he'd been having a post launch celebration (where myself and my sister happily supped a fair few) I leant over the railings to take a look at what was 'over the wall' of the park that was then renowned for being free to practice graff in. There was a tolerance as graffers needed a legal site somewhere! It was dark but I could see the maze of graffiti below and wowed at the splurge of hundreds of indivual tags and marks that went towards one giant accidental 'piece' on the basketball court. - calling my sister over to look too. I did check with DD that he was happy snapping the park as it was kind of his local scene. Of course he was fine with it and I went up when the light was good and squeezed a wide angle through the railings when a couple of kids came to play football. I thought it was a practice shoot but the light and scene didn't come as good on return visits. I couldn't quite line up what I wanted due to the railings but got a bit of shape to the ball playing child. It's kind of nice too that round the edges you can see a few graffers spraying. I did shoot the park more but this is the main image. The park is totally sanitised now. Infact you can go on google street view and see the sign says "Tarner Park" and below it in writing nearly as big "No Graffiti". We put the image on the back of the 2007 calendar before it dissapeared.
